Moments From Lockdown — My Camera Roll

In these hard days for creativity, I realized that I have taken quite a lot of photos with my phone. I have been photographing everything that makes me smile, that I want to remember.

These are difficult times for everyone. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed some days. Covid-19 happened and we are going through something that we, as a society, have never experienced before. I’m the first one guilty of forcing myself to be productive every single workday, but I’m slowly learning to listen to my body and mind and to know when I’m being too pushy. It’s true that some days you simply feel lazy and you have to power through it to start working, but other days you simply can’t. And it’s okay.

It’s okay if you don’t want to create. It’s okay if you don’t want to work out or if you don’t feel like reading. Just give yourself time.

When thinking about what to post next after the release of my website, at first I couldn’t come with anything good for these times. I wanted to talk about a lot of things but simply couldn’t find the right idea for days. Then, when I was on a walk (to the supermarket, of course), the idea came to me.

For the past three weeks, I have been in self-isolation, as most of the world (PLEASE, STAY AT HOME). And honestly, I have picked up my camera on two or three occasions. I haven’t felt very inspired. But I realized that I have taken quite a lot of photos with my phone. I love photographing everything that makes me smile or happy, or that I simply want to remember.

I want to make a post about surviving quarantine as a creator and the things that you can do even when you’re not feeling inspired, but this is something that is suitable for everybody.

I wanted to show you a more personal part of me and my quarantine. From my different home office setups to the sun setting in my supermarket runs (such a life-changer choosing that time to go to the store, believe me). From me making albóndigas and channeling my Spanish roots to the Van Gogh painting my boyfriend found on the street.

This is my camera roll — a lot of the photos shown here aren’t even edited. And the rest have been edited with Lightroom Mobile and my mobile presets. That’s it.

I hope you’re staying healthy – not only physically, but mentally. Take care of yourself and I hope this post helped you to feel a bit more inspired.

If you want to listen to some tunes to get you through this quarantine, I put together a playlist with the ones that are helping me the most.

SEE YOU SOON,

X

PATRICIA
